En estas semanas explorarás el vocabulario  relacionado con las celebraciones en diferentes partes del mundo, por medio de una lectura. Te recomendamos estudiar el tema con atención  y apoyarte del diccionario inglés – español para descubrir significados.

Realiza la lectura del texto sobre celebraciones en el mundo y luego contesta las preguntas de selección múltiple.

CELEBRATIONS AROUND THE WORLD

Celebrations are part of the culture in each country, people make part of them, get relax and rest in a busy and crazy life, celebrations are an  excuse to meet with friends and family. These are some examples of celebrations around the world:

Colombia is a rich country with many different types of celebrations. For example: The Flowers Festival, Black and White’s Festival, Devil’s Carnival in Riosucio, Cali’s Fair, Manizales’s Fair, Barranquilla’s Carnival, etc.

On the 17th of March every year, Ireland celebrates a special day called Saint Patrick’s Day. Saint Patrick is the patron saint in Ireland. In the parade there are  a lot of people and bands on the streets playing Irish music and doing Irish dancing. There are clowns and acrobats too.

On November 25th of November, United States and Canada celebrate Thanksgiving Day, which means the harvest and other blessing of the past year, it is a gratitude celebration.
